Unknown people in Mongu have stolen a one-day-old baby at Lewanika General Hospital while the mother was fast asleep.
The child was delivered on March 6, 2021 and was stolen by unknown person whilst her mother was in deep sleep.
Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo said Police have instituted investigating of child stealing alleged to have occurred on March 7, 2021 at 1100 hours at Lewanika General Hospital.
Ms Katongo said the police are appealing to members of the public with information that could be helpful in bringing the suspect to book to report to the nearest police.
