Chingola Constituency Receives Fertilizer Boost from MP

By ALICE NACHILEMBE
Chingola Member of Parliament Chipoka Mulenga has distributed fertilizer to all wards in his constituency, targeting vulnerable families who do not receive farmer support.

According to Mulenga, the goal is to ensure that every family plants at least one Lima of maize to beat hunger in homes. He emphasized that this initiative is specifically designed to support those who need it most.

The fertilizer distribution will benefit 15 families per ward, with a total of 18 wards in the constituency. Each family will receive two bags of fertilizer, courtesy of Capital Fertilizer Limited.

Twatasha ward councilor Jeff Musonda thanked the Member of Parliament on behalf of other councillors for the gesture. Musonda noted that this initiative will improve the livelihoods of vulnerable families in the community, ensuring that they have access to mealie meal and reducing hunger in homes.

Mulenga expressed optimism that if the people of Chingola come out in numbers and work on their farms, the constituency will be food-secure next year.
