Milenge District Sees Tangible Development Through CDF

By ALICE NACHILEMBE
Milenge Town Council Chairperson Clement Mwila has revealed that the Local Authority is transforming the district using the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).

According to Mr. Mwila, CDF has been a game-changer for Milenge, which previously lacked buildings and tangible development.

“Through CDF, we are building infrastructure in schools, such as Kabuta and Chasamba, which had space but no classrooms. We have constructed 1×3 classrooms, an office, and a borehole,” he explained. “We have also purchased desks for all schools, ensuring they have everything they need, including toilets, paper, chalk, and other teaching materials. Our teacher-to-pupil ratio is excellent, and our schools are performing well due to motivated teachers.”

Mr. Mwila expressed optimism about Milenge’s future, emphasizing the importance of collaboration with the current government to achieve success. He appealed to the government to prioritize the construction of the 74-kilometer Milambo-Mansa road and Milenge Kansanka roads, highlighting their economic significance.

“These roads are crucial for our economic growth, and we urgently need them. I urge the President to act swiftly to address this need,” he said.
