The Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA) will conduct its annual stocktake from January 2 to 13, 2024.
This is in line with ZAMMSA commitment to upholding accountability and transparency in the National Health Supply Chain.
ZAMMMSA Public Relations Officer Enoch Lusoke said that the stocktake exercise will entail physical counting and verification of inventory within our Warehouse Management System at the Central warehouse and seven (7) regional hubs.
Mr Lusoke said that during this period, ZAMMSA will be closed for routine deliveries and distributions.
He said the Agency will continue to process all emergency orders to ensure uninterrupted provision of quality healthcare services at health facilities.
“In preparation for this activity, all Heads of medical institutions were encouraged to place advance orders and ensure they have sufficient stock to sustain operations throughout the stocktake period, thereby minimizing any potential disruptions,” he said.
