This morning, Solwezi Mayor, His Worship, Remmy Kalepa hosted INDO Zambia Bank Managing Director Kowdichar Shashidhar and the team who are in the district to visit customers.
During the meeting, Mr Kalepa appreciated the bank for partnering with Government in facilitating for the disbursement of loans under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
The Mayor further called on the bank to provide financial literacy and financial skills development to recipients of the CDF empowerment loans and grants.
Mr Kalepa called on other players to invest in the district indicating that Solwezi can only be developed through complementary investment by the private sector.
INDO Zambia Bank Managing Director in turn assured the Mayor of the financial institution’s continued support of Government initiatives such as the CDF through speedy release of funds for projects implementation.
Mr Shashidhar was accompanied by INDO (Z) Bank General Manager Mr Godwin Ngoma, Head of Operations Mr Suresh Sethi, Solwezi Branch Manager Mr Gilbert Kasongo and two Relationship Managers for the Copperbelt/North Western region Ms Margaret Phiri and Mr Chakwana Kalima.
