Kasumbalesa Vendors allocated trading space at Kakoso Market

Chililabombwe Municipal Council through the department of Housing and Social Services and Development Planning has allocated 103 trading spaces Booth and Container owners that have been trading along Central Business D area in Chililabombwe District.

The Council has also allocated 28 trading spaces to vendors who were trading illegally along Kasumbalesa road on the road reserve earmarked for construction by Avic International.

CMC Assistant Public Relations Manager Nambela Mwandia said the Local Authority has conveyed a message of gratitude to vendors that are cooperating with the ministerial directive to move back to designated markets.

Ms Mwandia said the Council will continue to allocate spaces as the exercise is ongoing.

And Naomi Mwila a Booth traders (CBD area)  who has been allocated space within Kakoso Market  has thanked the Council for the allocation and the time frame given to the Booth owners to move their booths from CBD area to the designated Markets.

The vendors trading along CBD have been given until Friday to move their Booths and Containers from CBD area to Kakoso Market.
