Kitwe woman raped

A-34- year old Kitwe based business woman has been raped by two unknown persons.

Copperbelt Police Commanding Officer Peacewell Mweemba says the victim identified as Juliet Ngoshi was cornered by four men on her way from Chisokone market where she was.

He said that Juliet then ran into a nearby house but was chased by the owner.

Mr Mweemba said that the four men dragged her to an uncompleted building and they beat her up.

Mr Mweemba said this happened on Monday July17 that around 21:30 in Kitwe’s Race-Course area.

“Brief facts of the matter are that when she knocked off from work in Chisokone where she trades and she reached Chat milling and she met four male strangers who attacked her. She managed to run for rescue at a nearby house unfortunately she was chased by the owner of the house, they later on drugged her into unfinished building beat her up , raped her, and she sustained swollen face, hair pulled from her head, painful vagina and general body pains,” he said.

Mr Mweemba added that the attacker also ran away with K10, 800 cash money, a cell phone Techno Spark 5 worth K3500.

He also said that no arrest this far.
