Solwezi Municipal Council (SMC) has appointed Stanley Zingalume Mbewe as the new Town Clerk.
Mr Mbewe replaces the late Kabombo Mutakela who died in a fatal road traffic accident on Chingola-Solwezi road last month.
Prior to his appointment as Town Clerk for Solwezi, Mr Mbewe served as Director Public Health at Chibombo District Council from 2017 to 2021 until his promotion as Council Secretary for Mwansabombwe Town Council in 2021.
He was transferred back to Chibombo in 2022 where he served in the same capacity until his appointment as Town Clerk for Solwezi Municipal Council.
And during the inaugural meeting with Management, Mr Mbewe called for continued hard work, in the Council’s pursuit to deliver services to the people of Solwezi.
