CDF VEHICLES KEYS TO SUCCESS OF MONITORING AND EVALUATION POLICY

Copperbelt Province Permanent Secretary Augustine Kasongo says the purchasing of 156 vehicles by government for all constituencies shows that there is a strong recognition for monitoring and evaluating projects across the country.

Mr. Kasongo said that the vehicles will be used to monitor projects under various government projects which are being done using the constituency development Fund.

He added that the vehicles will be used to evaluate how the funds are being utilised by the committees.

The Permanent Secretary said this when a parliamentary committee on Cabinet affairs called on him at his office.

Mr. Kasongo said the monitoring and evaluation framework has been available to provide information about development projects programmes and policies.

He said stakeholders in the province will be able to give the parliamentary committee details such as sufficiency of national, provincial and district levels, the role of state actors at national, provincial and district levels, challenges and recommendations.

And Parliamentary committee chairperson Andrew Lubusha said the committee is on a three days working visit, to meet stakeholders on how they are implementing the monitoring and evaluation policy which was introduced by government 2019.

Mr. Lubusha said the committee wants to get details on how the policy is being implemented from the provincial level down to the districts. ZANIS
