The demand put on top positions

The demand put on top leadership or management positions through the qualifications set for those who should occupy them points to the expected growth and sustainance of an organisation.

Organisations have objectives and for them to meet them, the right personnel is needed, especially at their summit.
Organised organisations usually seek the services of the best human resource available on the market. The reasons are obvious, they want to flourish and be relevant.

The qualifications set for certain offices clearly reveal the expected input and output of their holders.
Avoid giving excuses, deliver to the expectations of your “position”.
If you accepted it, you declared that you were equal to the task.

Don’t just look at the wages and privileges, consider the demands of the position.

A closer look at church leadership from the Bible reveals that the qualifications for an elder or Bishop (overseer) are more than those of church members.
The demand put on them reveals the seriousness of their duties or tasks.

2Chronicles 1:15
“The king made silver and gold as common in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar as plentiful as sycamore-fig trees in the foothills.”

He made silver and gold very cheap and common.

The living God gave king Solomon wisdom and knowledge, wealth, riches and honor.
King Solomon then provided leadership; he made silver and gold as common as stones in Jerusalem.

He also made cedar, as plentiful as sycamore-fig trees in the foothills.
Out of Cedar trees came out very valuable timber which had a very high resistance to decay.
This made cedar very expensive but king Solomon made this available like the common trees sycamore-fig trees.

One of the lessons we pick from the leadership of king Solomon is that, in most cases, what is needed most is leadership and not resources.
A resourceful leader creates an environment or atmosphere that attracts the much needed resources.

Just like King Solomon led his kingdom to prosperity, we the leaders should endeavour to lead our organisations to greater heights.
