Zambia cholera cases rise to 90

Zambia has cumulatively recorded 90 cases of cholera and two deaths in three affected districts in the country.

Speaking at a press  briefing g Health Minister Silvia Masebo  said that Chipata in Eastern Province has become the latest district to experience the epidemic with four confirmed cases recorded so far , while other four are unconfirmed .

Ms Masebo  said  Vubwi  has also recorded 57 cases and two deaths so far.

She also said that Mwansabombwe  in Luapula Province has also recorded 25 statistics of cholera patient.

The health minister said government is putting in place measure to counteract the possible spread of cholera to other parts of the country.

Ms Masebo is since encouraging Zambians to practice personal hygiene and adhere to health guidelines.
