Police have arrested four suspects including a-24-year-old woman who have been on Police wanted list for the offence of theft from motor vehicles in Chelstone area in the recent past.
The arrest follows an increase in cases of theft from motor vehicles in Chelstone area in the recent past.
Deputy Police Spokesperson Danny Mwale said the suspects are, aged between 22 and 28, all from Matero Township in Lusaka.
Mr Mwale said they were apprehended on February 6, 2023 around 14:00 hours at Lukundo Liquor Trading Centre in Chelstone area.
He said the Police also impounded a Toyota Mark X bearing two registration numbers, BAX 1502 and NM 94.
“The motor vehicle is suspected to have been used in other criminal activities,” he said.
Mr Mwale said the suspects are detained in Police custody and investigations have intensified.
