Refurbished Cervical Cancer screening rooms handed over at Lubengele Clinic

Chililabombwe Mayor Lucky Sichone has handed over two refurbished Cervical Cancer rooms that is the Waiting Bay and the Screening room at Lubengele Health Post.

The two rooms were renovated by Mwana Yabe Company limited a waste management company within Chililabombwe district.

Speaking during the handover, Mr Sichone appreciated Mwana Yabe for ploughing back to the community by renovating the cervical cancer screening room.

He said that government appreciates Mwana Yabe for complimenting it’s efforts in the developmental process and upgrading of health facilities.

Mr Sichone further thanked the company for changing the outlook of the cancer screening rooms and channeling money towards its refurbishment.

He called on other business entities to emulate this kind gesture.

And Mwana Yabe Spokesperson David Mugala said that it is paty of his company’s Coporate Social Responsibility wanted to show gratitude to the district hence the project of renovating Lubengele clinic.

He said the CEO Mr Newton Bwalya and other members thought it best to plough back to the community at a total cost of K11,700.

Meanwhile, Lubengele Ward Councillor George Mwiinga the coming on board of Mwana Yabe is a huge relief on government as Lubengele is a densely populated area and it requires a conducive health facility.

And Chililabombwe District Health Director Dr Prince Kaputula said on behalf of the Ministry of Health and hospital management was grateful for the help rendered by Mwana Yabe.
