By Staff Writer
The Rotary club of Chingola Metro has launched the Polio Vaccination Campaign duped ‘End Polio Now’.

Rotary Club of Chingola Metro President Arthur Msukwa said the club will continue to partner with government and United Nations agencies to fight polio.

Mr Msukwa said that the campaign will start first with an awareness program in order to educate the community on why all children under the age of five need to take the vaccine.

He said the actual immunisation will begin on February 16, 2023 which will run for five days.

And Chingola Johnson Kang’ombe said it is vital that the district hastens the immunization of this disease before it affects children following a Polio outbreak in Malawi last year.

Mr Kang’ombe said commended the Rotary Foundation for supplementing government’s efforts.

He said urged the community to take their children for immunization.
