Two nabbed for motor vehicle theft

Police in Lusaka have apprehended two suspects alleged to have stolen Toyota Noah at the car wash at waterfalls Mall in Lusaka.

Felix Banda 40, of Chawama Township and Kennedy Ng’ona 29, of Kaunda Square Stage II, a car wash attendant at Waterfalls Shopping Mall are alleged to have stolen a Toyota Noah registration number BBA 6693 when the owner brought it for washing two days ago.

Police Deputy Spokesperson Danny Mwale said the police apprehended the suspects in Chibolya Township where they attempted to sell the same car.

He said the motor vehicle was involved in an accident while in the custody of the suspects.

The two suspects are detained in Police custody.
