Mental patient steals castle lite

A 25 year old man believed to be a mental patient has been arrested for stealing six pack of castle lite from a ShopRite checkers store in Kitwe.
Copperbelt police commanding officer Peacewell Mweemba said the incident occurred on December 30th this year at a ShopRite checkers store along Matuka avenue.
Mr Mweemba said it is believed that Zebron Mbazima of Chimwemwe township broke in the store by using a paving brick which broke the entry glass door.
He said the said then store one roll of polony, one bottle of Miranda and one case of castle lite whose value is not known yet.
Mr Mweemba said the case was reported to the police by the shop manager Priscilla Chinula 48, and upon arrival at the scene, police found the suspect already enjoying himself inside the shop.
“The police went to the scene and found the suspect still inside the store, and drinking the castle lite beer, eating the polony, and having already consumed the Mirinda,” he said
Mr Mweemba said with the assistance of the management at the shop, the suspect was arrested and is detained in custody.
He said docket has been opened and investigations instituted as relatives to the suspect being sought for so as to establish mental status.
