Taxi hailing firm Yango has thanked Zambians for the support the company has received since launching its operations in the country in March this year.

Yango Country Manager Kabanda Chewe said the firm has enjoyed massive support from the Zambian public who have embraced its innovative services.

Ms. Chewe said as a direct response to the support received, Yango has now spread its footprint to parts of the Copperbelt Province servicing Ndola and Kitwe.

She was speaking in Lusaka Thursday morning when Yango donated an assortment of items to Kabwata Orphanage and Transit Centre.

Ms. Chewe said Yango decided to donate to Kabwata Orphanage and Transit Centre as a way of paying back to society and appreciating the Zambian people for supporting the business.

“Kabwata Orphanage is a credible institution that continues to support vulnerable children and as a responsible corporate citizen, we are decided to spend a day with the children here to show our love and support to the centre,” Ms. Chewe said.

She added,” we have brought a number of items here which we believe will help the Centre meet some of its costs and we will continue to partner with the Centre in future.”

And Kabwata Orphanage and Transit Centre Representative Martha Musenge thanked Yango for the gesture adding that the donation will put smiles on the faces of the children at the Centre.
