Chingola Council procures earth moving equipment’s

Chingola Municipal Council (CMC) has procured two new earthmoving equipment to be used for, garbage collection and general cleaning of the environment.

Speaking at the commissioning of the equipment, Chingola Mayor Johnson Kang’ombe promised Chingola residents a clean and green environment in the near future.

Mr Kang’ombe said that the machines have been bought through locally generated funds coming from the markets not the Constituency development fund (CDF).

The Mayor said the Local Authority has also procured five service vehicles which will be given to the Council Police to improve on service delivery.

Meanwhile, Vice President for the Local Government Association of Zambia, Copperbelt Chapter Charles Mulenga commended the local authority for a job well done saying it has set an example for other councils to emulate.
