Over the past month, Budweiser as the official FIFA World Cup sponsor has been churning out influencer content straight from DOHA that has highlighted the game-changing energy that the brand is popularly known for. On Saturday, 17th December; on the eve of the final match between France and Argentina, a Doha-like clubbing experience was presented for Budweiser fans in Lusaka at a once-off BUD CLUB which offered an unforgettable experience of clubbing on the night before Argentina’s iconic win of the FIFA World Cup.
Media personality Mutale Mwanza was the vibrant host for the night as Hip-Hop artist Slap Dee took on the stage as the King of entertainment alongside Zambia’s favourite DJs Sebastien Dutch, DJ Ama and DJ Choolwe. The clubbing event themed #YoursToTake had a variety of Zambian celebrities and influencers in attendance to represent their unique journeys to achieving greatness and coming together in celebration over the world’s largest sporting tournament.
Hours after the FIFA World Cup final, Budweiser premiered the history-making, first-ever music video shot at the World Cup for Lil Baby’s track, “The World Is Yours To Take.” The video, which samples the chorus of Tears For Fears’ classic “Everybody Wants to Rule the World,” mirrors scenes from the original video and includes some of the best goals and moments from Argentina’s victory throughout the tournament. The video also features Zambian Rapper Slap Dee during his influencer assignment in Doha for Budweiser alongside over a hundred global influencer heavyweights including some notable African stars such as Nigerian Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and the popular South African house music duo TxC.
