Kalulushi father kills son

A Fifty-year old man of Kalulushi on the Copperbelt is on the run after beating his 14-year old son to death over a missing K200.

Copperbelt Police Commanding Officer Peacewell Mweemba confirmed the death of the juvenile and he has identified him as Chizhika Chipema.

Mr Mweemba said Ernest Chipema, the father of the juvenile discovered that he was missing K200 in the house and suspected that his son had stolen.

“Brief facts are that the father to the victim lost K200 in the house and suspected the deceased of having stolen the said money. When he asked him, he refused hence he started beating him using a slasher and fists,” he said

Mr Mweemba also said the son sustained a swollen head and was later rushed to the Kalulushi General Hospital by his mother, the wife to the suspect.

“Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead on arrival and immediately caused his killer father run away from the health facility,’’ he said.

Mr Mweemba added that Police have since launched a manhunt for the killer father.
