By ALICE NACHILEMBE
Some Congolese Nationals at Mokambo border post on the Congolese side of the entry point protested this morning after the shooting of a suspected dangerous criminal.

The protest comes two days after the shooting to death of a Congolese suspected criminal John Kayombo by the Zambia police Anti Robbery Squad after an exchange of fire in Olasho area of Mufurila.

Copperbelt Police Commissioner Peacewell Mweemba said that Kayombo is suspected to have been behind a spate of robberies in Mufulira district.

Mr Mweemba said he his suspected to be part of the criminals who booked Taxi drivers and later attacked by criminals armed with unknown type of firearms.

And hundreds of motorists and other members of the public are stranded on the Zambian side after failing to cross into the DRC.
