President Hakainde Hichilema has today attended a Church Service at the Solwezi Central Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Congregation, where he encouraged the Church as a whole to continue the evangelical work in North Western province with a view of growing the body of Christ.
His Excellency the President acknowledged that all Churches in Zambia, regardless of the denomination, belong to one body of Christ and hence all of them should be utilised to help unite the Country, a basis for developing the nation.
President Hichilema expressed delight for the opportunity to worship with the Church in Solwezi and encouraged the congregants to put God first in everything.
After the Church Service, the President took time to interact with some Solwezi residents and Traders at Mitec Market on his way to holding a meeting with Party officials at Royal Solwezi Hotel.
The Republican President was accompanied by the UPND Party Secretary General, some Cabinet Ministers, Provincial Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Members of Parliament, His Worship the Mayor of Solwezi, the Town Clerk, Council Chairpersons and other Senior Government officials.
The President has now concluded his two day working visit to North Western Province and has since left for Lusaka.
