Solwezi United Football Club (SUFC) Executive Committee Chairperson Golden Matimba has commended the Team for its impressive performance in the 2022/2023 Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Division One North Western Provincial League.
Speaking during the unveiling of the 2022/2023 Solwezi United Football Club Kit and equipment, Matimba said the players and technical bench are worth praising taking into account that the team has so far won 8 games, drawn 2 and lost 1 game as at week 11.
Matimba thanked the sponsor (Solwezi Municipal Council) for procuring the sports equipment and kit which he indicated will serve as a motivating factor for the players and the technical bench.
The SUFC Executive Committee Chairperson urged the players to continue working hard in order to reach and play in the premier league. He further advised them to maintain high levels of discipline on and off the pitch.
Both representatives of the technical bench and the players thanked their sponsor for the gesture and assured them of continued impressive performance in the remaining games to attain promotion into the national and eventually premier league.
Solwezi Municipal Council has purchased equipment and kit comprising: 1 set of the Soccer Jersey; 30 Football Tangos; 30 Rain Coats; 40 Track Suits and 30 Soccer Boots. Others are Bibs; Shin Guards; Stop Watch; Goal Nets; Whistles; Kit and Ball bags; Goal Keeper’s Gloves; Rubber balls; Ladders and Cones.
