Two people have sustained serious injuries when a Volvo truck they were traveling in lost control due to excessive speed and went to hit into a tree off the road along Great North Road at Liteta trading area.
Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said the driver identified as Innocent Chuma 30, sustained a bruised right arm, chest pains and swollen head while his passenger as Charels Phiri sustained cuts on the head.
Mr Hamoonga said that at the time of the accident, the truck was loaded with 600 bags each weighing 50 kilograms of stock feed and had it is horse extensively damaged.
Both victims are admitted at Liteta Hospital.
He said the accident happened on November 8, 2022 around 15:30 hours.
