Gender activist sends Kudos to copper Queens

Gender Activist and Founder of BeKa FC of Shiyala Village in Chongwe District Beauty Katebe has joined others in congratulating Zambia Senior Women National Football for scooping the COSAFA Championship for the first time.

Ms Katebe stated that the development was evidence that women could do anything once supported financially, socially, politically, economically and spiritually.

She called on Zambians to continue supporting the women’s team that were entering new frontiers of success.

The Gender Activist urged the Copper Queens not to relax as they had an opportunity to be role models world wide.

She added that it was gratifying to note more successes by the Copper Queens such as the Olympic qualification, WAFCON bronze, FIFA World Cup qualification and Zambians remain hopeful that the Queens would qualify for the FIFA World Cup.

Ms Katebe paid tribute to the Government of the Republic of Zambia for supporting the Queens and Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) for technical support.
