The Ministry of Health says it will strive to ensure that every health facility in the country has a maternity wing.
Health Minister, Slyvia Masebo said Zambia has for many years been battling with maternity issues resulting in deaths of children and sometimes mothers which should not be the case.
Ms Masebo said this when a Mayfair Global Solutions donated a new motorbike to Kasempa district’s Nyoka’s rural health centre.
She said the handover of the motor bike to the rural facility will help in enhancing other services such as immunization and vaccination roll out programmes.
And Mayfair Global Solutions representative Tarik Yusuf said the company was happy to have identified the health problems the people of Nyoka were facing and was able to assist.
Meanwhile Kasempa Mayor, Brian Kakonkanya praised the mining company for their continued support to the community. ZANIS
