A 45-year-old man of Ndola’s Lubuto Extension has died on the spot after the vehicle he was driving due to excessive speed careered off the road.

Mr Vincent Musonda Chola sustained head injuries and a deep cut on the stomach.

And, Zambia Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said the accident occurred on Saturday around 21:15 hours along the Ndola-Kitwe dual carriage way near Ndola Girls Technical School junction.

He said the deceased was driving an Isuzu D-max registration number AIC 8287 which was extensively damaged.

“The deceased sustained head injuries, deep cut on the stomach and died on the spot. The accident occurred when the vehicle was being driven from west to east and due to excessive speed, it lost control, careered off the road to the left and rested on a tree,” he said.
