K1,850,000 allocated for infrastructure development in Kifubwa ward

Solwezi Municipal Council has allocated a total of K1,850,000 for infrastructure development in Kifubwa ward in Solwezi. 

The funds are under the Ward Development Fund (WDF). 

Solwezi central Member of parliament Stafford Mulusa disclosed that the funds will go towards the construction of a 1×3 classroom block and staff house at Kamasope primary school, another 1×3 classroom block at Kakombe secondary School as well as a maternity wing at Kakombe clinic respectively.

Mr Mulusa said it is the desire of government to take development closer to the people.

He said once completed, the infrastructure will enable people have access to services within their vicinity.

Mr Mulusa said he is aware that pupils here go to secondary schools either in Mushindamo or to schools outside Kifubwa ward. 

“That is coming to an end once this piece of infrastructure is completed,”said Mr Mulusa. 

And Kifubwa  ward councilor Alice Lubasi has praised government for allocating massive infrastructure development projects in her Ward.

Ms Lubasi said she’s happy that the ward will have first ever secondary School and maternity which will say  the people of Kifubwa.
