The Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) will by October this year require employers to provide Taxpayer Identification Numbers -TPINs- of their employees when submitting the Pay As You Earn (PAYE) returns to the authority.
Acting ZRA Corporate Communications Manager Oliver Nzala said the monthly PAYE returns will now be changed to include the TPIN as a mandatory requirement.
Mr Nzala said all employers should therefore take note that the PAYE return for October 2022 which will be due in November should have TPINs for their employees.
He says for the employers, the new change will simplify the audit process and duration for PAYE queries.
