Government says it is moving towards eradicating plastic pollution as one of the measures to preserve the environment.
Green Economy and Environment Minister Collins Nzovu said environmental preservation and sustainability is key to efforts to address the adverse effects of climate change.
Mr Nzovu said this in Lusaka last night during the Africa Climate Week and Activism Cocktail organized by Kalemba Multimedia and Free Press Initiative.
At the same function Chief Government Spokesperson Chushi Kasanda urged the media to take an active role in raising awareness against the devastating effects of Climate Change.
And,Voice for Climate Action Champion Francina Lumbala called on government to heighten expenditure on projects aimed at eradicating the effects of climate change.
