Chingola District Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit through the office of the District Commissioner have come on board to help the people affected by the demolition of houses at Kasompe airstrip.
DMMU Chingola satellite Chairperson Jeff Mulenga said the DMMU are on the ground to offer assistance to the people who are affected by demolition.
Mr Mulenga who was in the Company of UPND District Leadership said people will be assisted according to their needs as some people did not occupy the homes.
He said Government is with the people and will help the people affected.
And UPND Chingola District Chairperson Scrivener Bwalya said Government will not allow the people to be displaced.
Mr Bwalya has assured the people that they will sit with the Local Authority to see to it that the people have a place to stay.
He said the part leadership sympathize with the people of Kasompe and will render all the necessary help to the community.
