The Chipata High Court has sentenced a-23-year-old man of Chipata to hang for murdering a Malawian bricklayer.
Chipata resident judge Mercy Makubalo sentenced Christopher Mphanza, a businessman to death after convicting him of the offence.
Mphanza murdered Sam Banda in Mchini Township hacked the victim with a sharp instrument leading to his death, last year.
The victim met his fate when he was coming from a drinking spree.
