Konkola Blades Football Club has signed an understanding with the FAZ/MTN Super League side, Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club of Solwezi for the latter to be using Konkola Stadium in Chililabombwe for their home game fixtures during the 2022-2023 seasons.
Kansanshi’s Independence Stadium is still undergoing some rehabilitation works under the FIFA/FAZ Goal project, and for this period, they have extended a request to be using Konkola Stadium for their home game fixtures.
Konkola Blades Football Club President Davy Mubita said Kansanshi Dynamos was welcome to be playing their home matches at Konkola Blades as the two clubs have enjoyed cordial relationships for a long time.
Mr. Mubita further said that necessary arrangements have been made after thorough consultations with the Zambia Super League management for other Chililabombwe clubs that use Konkola Stadium as their home ground so that games do not crash with those of Kansanshi.
This move will also accord Chililabombwe people a chance to watch Super League matches Kansanshi will be holding as Konkola Blades is preparing its come-back to the Super League where it belongs.
