Government will soon start working on the road from Solwezi turn-off to Kasumbalesa border in Chililabombwe.
Copperbelt Minister Elisha Matambo said other roads leading to borders in the province will also be worked on to promote international trade.
The minister said that government wants a contractor who will deliver high quality works.
And Mr Matambo said he will engage his Local Government counterpart Gary Nkombo on the need to find a fire tender for Chililabombwe District Council.
Mr Matambo said Chililabombwe is a strategic border town which cannot operate without a proper fire fighting machine.
