A-55- year old man of Kitwe is on the run after he his alleged to have sexually defiled a-10-year-old juvenile.
Copperbelt Police Commanding Officer Sharon Zulu said a grade four pupil at a named school in Ndola was defiled by Dennis Kapala of house number G468 Ndeke village Kitwe.
Ms Zuu said that in June 2022 the accused person started giving coins to the victim every time he meets her in order to entice her.
And during the same month after giving her coins on different occasions he took her into the bush and had unlawful canal knowledge with her.
She said since then he has been doing it every time he got a chance, until in July 2022 when the mother noted stranger movement on her daughter.
Ms Zulu said the matter was reported to Police where a docket was opened and a Medical report form was issued to the victim who was later taken to Ndeke One stop center.
She said preliminary findings are that the hymen is stretched and there was a whitish vagina discharge.
Ms Zulu said no arrest has been made as the suspect is on the run and officers are per-suing the matter to have the suspect arrested.
The incident happened between June 2022 at unknown date and July 2022 at unknown date and time.
