Chingola Constituency Member of Parliament Chipoka Mulenga has assured marketers at Lulamba market that the market shelter sideways will be covered before the rainy season.
Speaking when he visited the market to appreciate the challenges, Mr Chipoka said that he will ensure that in due time the market is covered.
And Lulamba market Vice Chairman Felix Chembe said the marketers have appealed for concrete tables, proper electricity connection and water in the market.
He said the market also needs better toilets.
In response, Mr Chipoka said that market borehole will be installed as soon as possible so that the marketers can have access to clean water.
Mr Chipoka, who is also Minister of trade and commerce, said the concrete tables will be built gradually.
He also encouraged the traders and marketers to desist from connecting electricity illegally to the market shelter as they wait for proper connection from the power utility company
The MP also called on the marketers to form cooperatives so that they can benefit from the grants in the second quarter.
