Three juveniles have been arrested for alleged sexual defiling a seven year old grade one pupil in Ndola.
Among the three juvenile is an uncle to the girl who was defiled.
Copperbelt Police Acting Commanding Officer Sharon Zulu said that the suspects are between 13 and 17 years.
She said on July 25, 2022 around 09:00 hours a concerned class teacher observed strange behaviour from the minor and upon questioning her, the child revealed that she was sexually abused by his uncle and his friends.
Ms Zulu said the teacher reported the matter to the Police on July 26, 2022.
She said the child’s private part was inspected by the mother Cynthia Chitoku who discovered that it was reddish and had some bruises. “The police issued a medical report for her examination and treatment. A docket was opened and arrest was made on the three suspects,” he said.
