By Staff Writer
The Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) says it has rescheduled Former First Lady Esther Lungu’s interview over the 15 flats for security reasons.

DEC Director General Mary Chirwa said Mrs Lungu was summoned to appear before DEC today.

Ms Chirwa said the former first lady was supposed to be interviewed for the flats allegedly belonging to her in Lusaka’s State Lodge area.

She said the Commission is also concerned with social media reports of planned protest at its offices following the summoning.

Ms Chirwa said the Commission was not comfortable to interview the former first lady today as scheduled because the country is hosting the AU.

She was speaking during a press briefing in Lusaka today Ms Chirwa said the commission and the former First Lady’s lawyers will agree on a new date and venue where the former first lady can be interviewed.

“it  is unfortunate that some people have decided to threaten the Commission which is acting professionally to ascertain the ownership of the 15 flats,” she said.
