Socialist Party (SP) has confirmed that former Chingola mayor Macdonald Mulongoti has joined the Socialist Party from the Patriotic Front.
SP Copperbelt spokesperson Joseph Kangwa said that Mr Mulongoti joined the Socialists on Jun, 6th, 2022, stating that he joined the party because it is pro poor.
Mr Kangwa also said the party welcomed other members that joined the party
He said the party is very optimistic that they will benefit profoundly from Mr Mulongoti’s good political leadership skills and vast experience in growing the party.
Mr Mulongoti before defecting to the Socialist Party was the patriotic Front Copperbelt Mobilisation Committee Deputy Media Director.
