A-3- year old child has died after a Zebra statue she was playing on fell on her at a named school in Chongwe.
Deputy Police Spokesperson Danny Mwale said the incident occurred on June 7, 2022 around 15:00 hours at a named private School in Chongwe.
Mr Mwale said initial investigations revealed that the victim who was in her Nursery Class at the named private school, was playing on a Zebra statue made of cement when it allegedly fell on her back killing her instantly.
He said the body is in Chongwe District Hospital Mortuary awaiting Postmortem.
Police have opened an inquiry file to establish the actual cause of death.
