Solwezi DHO ready for the polio vaccine

Solwezi District Health Office has called on mothers in the district to take their children for polio vaccine.
Speaking during a media engagement, Solwezi  District Health community health focal point person  Caroline Chikolokoso
also called on other stakeholders the church and traditional leaders to support the campaign.

Ms Chikolokoso confirmed that the office is ready to conduct the 2022 polio Campaign vaccination during a media engagement.

Speaking during a media engagement, Solwezi  District Health community health focal point person  Caroline Chikolokos said the campaign of polio vaccination will commence on Monday April 25 2022.
Ms Chikolokoso said that the exercise will run for four days from Monday 25 April to Thursday 29, April 2022.
“We have trained community mobilizers and recorders to help out with  the flow of the campaign for polio vaccination in Solwezi,” she  said.
She also said that the vaccination will only target the children under five years.
“As a district we have received enough oral vaccines for the campaign but if need be we the health office will provide for more vaccines,” She said.
Minister of health Syvia Masebo will on Monday April 25, 2022 launch the North Western Province in Kalumbila district.
