Over 99,000 teachers have so far applied for jobs following the advertisement of teacher recruitment by Government.
Teaching Service Commission (TSC) member Clement Sinyinda described the teacher recruitment exercise that closes today as overwhelming.
He also said that the selection process will start on Monday, and that he hopeful that by June this year, the teachers will be employed.
Mr Sinyinda said the teacher recruitment exercise is a process that will have to follow all the guidelines and scrutinize the documents submitted by the applicants.
“Various stakeholders such as the Anti-Corruption Commission will be part of the process so that they monitor and ensure all stipulated guidelines are followed, and the human resource management committees in the 1 16 districts have already been sensitized on what to look for when the selections process begins,” he said.
