Chief Chibwika of Mwinilunga District in North Western Province has asked Government to resolve issues between his people and ZCCM -HI regarding the mining of gold at Kasenseli Zambia Gold Mine.
Chief Chibwika says his people have not benefited from the mine even after being promised a school, hospital and roads in the area.
He said his people will only work with ZCCM-IH if the company is willing to plough back the profits in the chiefdom.
Chief Chibwika also said this when a group of parliamentarians from by Lands and Natural Resources Minister Elijah Muchima paid a curtsey call on him at his palace.
Mr Muchima, assured the people of Chibwika chiefdom that the New Dawn Government has a duty to safe guard all the people of Zambia and its wealth.
