Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary Administration George Magwende says Government has extended the deadline for the advert of the recruitment of 11 thousand 2 hundred and 76 health workers by another 3 days.
Dr Magwenda said the extended advert will run from Wednesday April 6th to Wednesday April 13th 2022.
He said that the decision was arrived at following consultations with stakeholders in the health sector.
Dr Magwende said the consultation also revealed that another sector, Audiometry was left out.
He also said an advert for Audiometry will run from April 8th 2022.
Speaking at a press briefing, Dr Magwende emphasized that the recruitment process is premised on a decentralized approach with honesty, fairness and transparency.
“Let it be known that 4,112 existing health workers will be considered for promotion, in turn creating space for new recruitment, because Government is maintaining an open door policy to improve service delivery,” he said.
And, Dr Magwende also tasked those responsible for applications to be professional, while appealing to the public to report any anomalies detected when submitting their papers.
