2 Kalumbili Council Officers surrendered to LGSC for incompetency

By CLOZZEN BIKALE
Kalumbila Town Council in North Western Province has Surrendered Two Senior Council Officers to the Local Government service commission (LGSC) for incompetency in service delivery.

This came to light during a full ordinary council meeting held at Floriana hall in Kalumbila on April 1, 2022.

Mafita Mtonga a Director of Works and Tendai Tigere a procurement officer were surrendered back to LGSC.

Councillors questioned the Council management who wanted to know why some projects in the district have stalled for a long period of time.

Musele ward CounciLor Frankson Kalimoya said that many developmental projects have stalled and taken long to be completed because the two officers have failed to execute their duties.

He said that people of Kalumbila could not see infrastructure and development taking place in the district

Mr Kalimoya proposed the motion to surrender the said senior officers to LGSC and the motion was seconded by Kibanza ward councilor Moses Kokela.

And Mr Kokela the seconder of the motion and many other councilors including the chiefs wondered why some projects could take three year to be completed and handed over to the public.

He said people are eager to seeing development tricking down in their communities.
