Former ruling party MMD members in Solwezi District have described late President Rupiah Banda as a state’s Man and a unifier for the country.
One of the officials, Tapson Kasonso who was MMD Solwezi Central Constituency youth Chairperson said Mr Banda was a man who had the heart for all Zambians.
Mr Kasonso said that the leadership for the late President was similar to that of Late Mwanawasa hence carrying on the legacy for his predecessor Mwanawasa also late.
He said that Mr Banda helped in the completion of Mutanda Chavuma road when he was President.
Mr Kasonso who is also United Party for National Development Youth National Deputy Secretary in charge of administration has his political career could not be mentioned without the input of leadership from former president late Banda.
And a Solwezi veteran politician Cephas Kikwaba said Mr Banda will be missed for his good leadership and tolerance.
He also urged young people to learn from leadership of late Mr Banda and Mr Mwanawasa, if they are to be great political leaders.
