The Kuomboka Ceremony of the Lozi people of Western Province will take place on April 9, 2022.
Barotse Royal Establishment (BRE) Ngambela Manyando Mukela has announced today at Namuso Kuta in Limulunga Palace for the Litunga of Western Province.
The Ngambela said the Kuomboka Ceremony has not been held for the past three years.
He said in 2019 the ceremony was not held due to low water levels in the Barotse plains while in 2020 and 2021, the event could not take place because the Ministry of Health’s Covid-19 preventive measures.
The Ngambela is appealing to all well-wishers to contribute financially or materially towards the successful holding of the Kuomboka Ceremony.
He has also appealed to people locally and internationally to attend the prestigious ceremony. (ZANIS).
