Govt to address challenges in Muchinga Constituency-MP

Muchinga Member of Parliament Emmanuel Banda says Government is committed to improve the living standards of the people of Muchinga Constituency in Serenje, Central Province.

Mr Banda assured communities in his Constituency that all the challenges that were presented during his five days tour of the Constituency will be addressed expeditiously.

The Parliamentarian visited nine areas among them Katota, Chambale, Kaseba, Nakalengule, Chibuye Saili, Mukopa, Chibale Centre, Mangilashi and Kunda Lumwansha to appreciate the challenges his people are facing.

He said the road network and poor health service delivery due to lack of support and equipment in healthy facilities is a source of concern.

Mr Banda said that he will first consider opening up road networks across the Constituency and rehabilitation of schools as well as constructions of new blocks in public and community schools.

He said that the New Dawn Government has introduced free education which has brought over enrollments in all the schools across the Constituency hence resulted into shortage of desks, classrooms and teachers’ houses as well as teachers in schools.

The parliamentarian has since warned health personnels in Constituency not to take advantage of the people who cannot understand their Rights to good health by closing health facilities on Saturday or Sunday.

Mr Banda urged women, youths and the general public to register their Clubs and Cooperatives as early as possible in order to benefit from CDF empowerments.
