MWSC women’s league donates to female inmates

Mulonga Water, Supply and Sanitation Company Limited women’s league has donated assorted sanitary towers and cleaning agents to Chingola women’s correctional facility inmates.

Assistant Superintendent Beatrice Chabu said that there is need for more organizations to come on board and help out the women inmates with such necessities.

The Mulonga Women’s League made the donation to celebrate Women day that falls on 8th March annually.

And Ms Chabu said that the donations should not only be made on special occasions, she also said that the donations will go a long away in assisting the women.

And the women’s league Representative Lusekelo Msendeka said in commemorating women’s day, the league thought it wise to donate to the women inmates.

Ms Msendeka, who is also Mulonga Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited Communication officer, said that they hope the donation of sanitary towers will help Government’s efforts in making “donate a pad reality”.

She said that there is need to ensure that equality in all walks of life is achieved.

And one of the inmates Sylvia Bwalya commended the league for donating sanitary towers to them as they are daily needed.

She said there is need for organisations to donate more to the inmates do sustain their stay.
