Labour Minister Brenda Tambatamba has called on the newly appointed Workers Compensation Fund Control Board (WCFCB) and Occupation Health and Safety Institute (OHSI) Boards to serve the interests of Zambian people.
The Minister has called on the newly appointed Board Members to add value to the operations of the organizations by making decisions that will ensure prudent utilization of resources and serve to benefit Zambians in accordance with their mandate.
Ms Tambatamba reminded the Board Members and Managements that President Hakainde Hichilema is a strong supporter of financial prudence and good governance and as such, she does not expect less.
She advised the two institutions to serve the interests of the Zambian people with a particular question.
Following the dissolution of NAPSA, WCFCB and Occupation Health and Safety Institute Boards, Ms Tambatamba, on February 11, 2022 the Minister appointed new Boards for WCFCB and OHSI.
The Minister expects the statutory bodies under her Ministry having gone through the induction to confidently look take the institutions to another level.
